Affiliate networks are based on having online business partners that send traffic to your website in order to get commissions from sales made by their visitors.
For instance, a blog about cars will be happy to send visitors to a car manufacturer website in order to get 1% commissions on cars sold to their visitors. This can be done by placing a banner of a text link on the referring site that includes a referrer id which is passed to the e-commerce site. On the e-commerce site, the affiliate program software identifies the visitor as a visitor that was sent by a partner and then tracks this info accordingly.
The Amazon Associates program pays associates up to 10% in referral fees on all qualifying revenue made through their links.
You can refer customers to items like children books or
to specific items on Amazon as seen below.
You can, also, place an Amazon search box on your site and let users search items on Amazon through your site. You will get paid on every item bought through this search box!!!
Andrew Fromfly has made some very nice videos explaining how he made moeny with amazon. This is the first video, find the next ones on youtube.
